Hi, I’m Leah, a qualified counsellor and the person behind 'Reflections NI'.
I know that reaching out for counselling isn’t always easy, especially if you’re unsure where to begin or you’ve had experiences in the past where you haven’t felt fully heard or understood.
The way I work is warm, down-to-earth and without judgement. I don’t expect you to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about, and there’s no pressure to have the “right” words. Sometimes we start with what’s happening right now and work things out together from there.
I have experience supporting adults, teenagers and neurodivergent individuals with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, masking, identity and navigating periods of change.
I’m particularly passionate about creating a space where people feel able to be themselves. This includes adapting how I work for neurodivergent clients, rather than expecting the person to adapt themselves to counselling.
For me, counselling isn’t about telling you what to do or trying to “fix” you. It’s about giving you a safe, supportive space to understand yourself better, explore what you’re carrying and find a way forward that feels right for you.
"You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come through the door. We can start exactly where you are."
